Entrepreneurship Initiatives Passport Program

A Campus Wide Invitation to Explore Innovation, Build Skills, and Earn Recognition

The SDSU Entrepreneurship Initiatives Passport Program is designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and real-world learning by connecting students with hands-on experiences in innovation and entrepreneurship. Open to students from all majors and backgrounds, the program encourages participation in a wide range of events that highlight entrepreneurial thinking across disciplines.

By attending just three Entrepreneurship Initiatives Passport Program eligible opportunities during the semester, students complete the program and gain access to valuable insights, networking opportunities, and recognition for their involvement. 

Whether you’re a student looking to grow your skills, or professor or club leader looking to offer credit or meaningful co-curricular engagement, the Passport Program is a simple, high impact way to make participation in entrepreneurship easy and impactful.

Professors and Club Leaders: Add Real World Learning to Your Class or Organization

Students complete the Passport Program by attending three Entrepreneurship Initiatives events throughout the semester. Professors or club leaders choose how participation is recognized- for classes, this could be class credit or extra credit. For clubs, this could be membership points or some other incentive.

  • Enroll Students: Professors and club leaders sign up their class or organization, officially registering students so that their attendance can be tracked.
  • Share Details: Explain to students how the program works, which events count, and how participation will be recognized (credit, points, or extra credit).
  • Attend Events: Students attend three or more SDSU Entrepreneurship Initiatives events covering innovation, leadership, networking, and career-ready skills.
  • Track Attendance: The ZIP Launchpad automatically records attendance.
  • Recognize Achievement: Students who attend at least three events complete the program and earn credit, a certificate (digital & physical), a LinkedIn badge, and a special gift.
  • For Your Students/ Members: 
    • Recognition: Students earn a certificate, a LinkedIn badge, and a special gift to showcase achievement.
    • Skill Development: Students build transferable skills like problem-solving, teamwork, leadership, and networking.
    • Real-World Insights: Students learn from founders, innovators, and industry experts.
    • Professional Network: Students connect with peers, mentors, and SDSU’s entrepreneurial community.
    • Next Steps: Students gain access to other SDSU Entrepreneurship Initiatives programs, workshops, and competitions.

Each semester, select professors and student organizations partner with the program, allowing you to earn class credit, extra credit, or club membership credit by participating.

  • Attend Events: Complete the program by attending three qualifying events covering innovation, leadership, networking, and more.
  • Track Your Progress: ZIP Launchpad automatically records attendance.
  • Earn Recognition: Receive a digital & physical certificate, LinkedIn badge, and special gift upon completing three events.
  • Celebrate Your Success: Showcase your achievements and explore further Entrepreneurship Initiatives opportunities.
  • Recognition of Achievement: Earn a digital and physical certificate, a LinkedIn badge, and a special gift from SDSU Entrepreneurship Initiatives.
  • Skill Development: Build transferable skills like problem-solving, teamwork, leadership, creative thinking, and professional networking that apply to any career path.
  • Access to Insights and Inspiration: Learn directly from founders, innovators, and industry experts at each event.
  • Expanded Network: Connect with peers, mentors, and SDSU’s entrepreneurial community.
  • Pathway to Further Opportunities: Use your Passport Program experience as a stepping stone to other SDSU Entrepreneurship Initiatives programs, workshops, or competitions.
  • Always RSVP. Sign up for events via the ZIP Launchpad website to guarantee your spot and ensure your attendance has been tracked.
  • RSVP sooner rather than later. Event tickets may sell out.
  • Arrive early/ on time. Students who arrive at an event more than 15 minutes after the event’s start time will not receive Passport Program credit.

You can join the SDSU Entrepreneurship Initiatives Passport Program on your own to start attending events, building skills, and earning recognition.
